...to help find a cure for Synovial Sarcoma
...by making a long term commitment
...to initiate, increase, stimulate and fund
...“breakthrough” research.
The Synovial Sarcoma Research Foundation is committed to make an impact on the worldwide research into a cure for Synovial Sarcoma in the period 2013-2023.
The Synovial Sarcoma Research Foundation intents to become the primary channel for people and organizations worldwide that want to donate or otherwise contribute to supporting “breakthrough” scientific research, strictly dedicated to developing a cure for patients with synovial sarcoma.
Where can I get solid information about this disease?
As our website is mainly focused on patients and their family and friends, we have not been working on offering information about the disease itself. However, now that we have our website published, it turns out that there are many readers that want to learn about synovial sarcoma.
We therefore decided to start working on our own medical information section, where we will offer high-quality information and links to articles and websites with the latest scientific insights.
Until that is available here we recommend that you read all about synovial sarcoma in the article written by Andrea Ferrari, MD and Paola Collini, MD. We met Andrea Ferrari during the Eurosarc meeting at the CTOS meeting in Berlin recently. The article is published as an ESUN article on the website of our good friends and our co-funding partner of one of our current projects, The Liddy Shriver Sarcoma Initiative.
Although they have a more broad focus of sarcomas in general, they do have excellent information.
The Synovial Sarcoma Research Foundation funded a three year research project at the University Medical Center St. Radboud Nijmegen, the Netherlands. Research professor was Prof. Dr. Winette van der Graaf.
